Hey Nicholas! I received my Ph.D. from McGill on May 29 2007... and was wondering how I could translate my diploma! Thanks to Google I ended up on your blog... ;-)
Congratulations, fellow graduate, and thanks for the translation! I'll put my dad to the test, to see if he remembers any of its Latin! :)

Isabelle,

If you want, you can request a certified translation in English or French from the Registrar's office. See this website for more info:

http://www.mcgill.ca/student-records/graduation/grad-diplomas/

The info regarding translations from the latin is lower down on the page.

Congratulation to you as well!

Bizarre comment number 2: first, congratulations on finishing your degree. Second, one of your schoolmates, though at the bachelor level, recently applied for work in Gangneung South Korea, where I live and work. We received the degree, but the immigration officials didn't understand it, and needed a translation, and time is a factor. After no luck with internet translation engines, I tried typing in random phrases, in quotes, on google, and guess where I landed? All, basically to say, thanks for the translation.

So, did you know you'd become a resource by posting that?

Thanks again, and congratulations once again.
